Job Description :   Travel Demand Modeler - Planner

  

As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:
-Travel demand model set up and calibration using CUBE and/or other modeling packages
-Travel demand model transportation network development, including interpretation of design schematics and regional transportation plans
-Analyze data and develop field data collection plans
-Assist in the assessment of travel model results
-Assist in the development of toll revenue estimates; performing calculations using spreadsheets containing large amounts of data
-Assist in writing reports supporting our traffic and revenue studies
-Assist in developing supporting graphics, tables, charts and graphs, PowerPoint slides and other supporting materials for both internal meetings/presentations as well as client presentations

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications :

 

-3+ years previous relevant experience (since Bachelor's)
-Bachelor's degree in arts, planning, engineering, or a science required 
-Knowledge of commonly used computer software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) 
-Strong working knowledge of CUBE, TransCAD or similar
-Candidate must have excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications :

  

-Familiarity with micro-simulation software such as VISSIM
-Florida Department of Transportation FSUTMS model and/or MPO model project experience will be a plus
-Master's degree in planning, engineering, science, or environmental science/management preferred
-Ability to become certified as either PE or AICP within three years strongly encouraged
