Description
The sixth activity-based webinar session entitled Accessibility and Treatment of Space is the second in a series of technically-oriented webinars which will cover fundamental aspects of activity-based modeling systems. There is a growing recognition that accessibility to activity opportunities affects a wide range of travel dimensions, such as the generation rate and location of discretionary activity stops; destination and mode choice; time-of-day choices; and longer-term auto ownership, workplace and residential location choices. This webinar explores the important dimensions of accessibility, important data types and the implications of spatial units, accessibility calculations and their impact on model design and outcomes, as well as research on dynamic accessibility.
