Description
The tenth activity-based webinar session entitled Tour Mode-Intermediate Stop Location-Trip Mode is the seventh in a series of technically-oriented webinars which will cover fundamental aspects of activity-based modeling systems. Consistent representation of activities and travel in a tour-based decision-making context is a fundamental trait of activity-based models. The choices of a primary destination and mode for a tour condition the destination and mode choices for individual trips on the tour. Less obvious are the ways in which intermediate stops are inserted into a tour. Representation of joint travel between household members requires additional considerations. This webinar describes various approaches to modeling tour and trip modes as well as intermediate stops on tours, and their design and policy implications.
