CDM Smith develops and applies travel demand models throughout the United States and beyond. As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:
-Performing travel demand model set up and calibration using TransCAD and/or CUBE.
-Travel demand model transportation network development, including interpretation of design schematics and regional transportation plans.
-Analyze field data collected including collecting field data, when required.
-Assist in the assessment of travel model results.
-Support the development of regional and project-level traffic forecasts.
-Assist in the development and execution of regional hurricane evacuation models.
-Assist in developing supporting graphics, tables, charts and graphs, PowerPoint slides and other supporting materials for both internal meetings/presentations as well as client presentations.
A successful CDM Smith candidate will have:
-3 - 5 years' previous experience (since Bachelor's), in travel demand modeling.
-Bachelor's degree in arts, planning, engineering, or a science required.
-Prior experience with Cube and/or TransCAD including modifying or developing model scripts in Cube Power Scripts or GISDK.

Preferred Qualifications

-Master's degree in planning, engineering, science, or environmental science/management preferred.
-Programming skills in R, Java, and/or Python.
-Previous experience with VISSIM and/or TransModeler.
-Additional experience with other travel demand modeling platforms such as Emme or VISSUM.
