The FHWA Resource Center TAFA Team is looking for a Data and Analysis Transportation Specialist (GS-13) to join our multi-disciplinary team! We have a team of subject matter experts who focus on Transportation Performance Management, Transportation Asset Management, Freight, and Data and Analytics (TAFA).
In this position you will serve as part of a virtual team (work from home) providing technical services on emerging transportation data sources for multiple program areas and needs, including complete streets, active transportation, equity, accessibility, and transportation system resiliency. You will also have the opportunity to provide technical support and direction on performance objectives, measures, and use of analytical tools and methods across transportation programs and phases. In addition, this position lead will develop and deliver technical services related to the assessment of performance gaps and evaluation of investment strategies using scenario-based approaches.
This position requires knowledge and expertise on a wide variety of transportation data types and sources (demographic, economic, behavioral, performance, network, condition, bike/ped etc). It also requires a background in diverse qualitative and quantitative transportation analysis tools and methods.
Our team is committed to providing training and technical assistance to our customers and partners. Your expertise will support internal FHWA units (including FHWA Program Offices and Divisions) and external partners such as state departments of transportation (DOTs), metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs), and local transportation agencies.
If this fits your interest and background, we’d love to hear more about your experience. Please send resumes by Friday, April 7, 2023 to Lisa Randall and Christina Leach at lisa.randall@dot.gov and christina.leach@dot.gov.
If you are a current federal employee or applicant with federal eligibility status, you must include SF-50(s) that verify your highest competitive grade, full performance level, and eligibility as a federal applicant. Please include this with your resume.
• Do not submit an award SF-50 as these do not verify grade or eligibility.
• For consideration for a promotion, Box 4 of the SF-50 must meet time in grade at the time the application list is pulled and supply appropriate documents to support. We recommend submitting your last promotion SF-50 or within-grade increase SF-50
Please reach out with any questions.
Thank you,
Christina
