 Connetics Transportation Group, Inc. (CTG) is seeking qualified candidates to join our travel demand modeling and analytics practice. CTG is a nationally recognized firm in providing services related to highway and transit planning,
travel demand modeling, data science/analytics, transit operations planning and corridor studies. Our clients include transit agencies and operators, departments of transportation, metropolitan planning organizations and local governments.

We currently have a full-time position at our Fairfax, Virginia office. The position requires candidates to assist in: (1) development, calibration and application of travel demand models; (2) developing new and innovative analytical tools for transportation planning; (3) processing and analyzing big travel data; (4) alternatives analysis and evaluation for project/corridor studies; and (5) develop and lead statistical and machine learning efforts in relation to the projects.

Transportation Planner/Data Analyst I (Years of Experience: 0-2 years), Fairfax, Virginia  

·        Degree in math, statistics, computer science, planning,
engineering or related field

·        Expertise in R (& R Shiny) or Python

·        Experience in the application of machine learning and statistics
(regression analysis, forecasting, etc.)

·        Exposure to travel demand software, including Cube, TransCad or Visum

·        Exposure to GIS software, including ArcGIS, QGIS

·        Exposure to analyze big data using APIs (Google, real-time GTFS, Twitter,
etc.)

·        Ability to process, filter, and present massive quantities of
data.

·        Ability to keep up with and pursue new concepts and to come out
with state-of-the-art solutions to business-related needs.
