IEEE Transportation Forum at TU Delft this summer! (+ expanded Call for BTR zero-carbon papers)

Dear Colleagues:

If you are interested in integrated & sustainable transportation systems, please do join us in Delft this summer, as noted below.

Also, if you have a paper you can present at the zero-carbon Bridging Transportation Researchers conference in January, please do send it our way in the next month. (It can be already published or presented elsewhere, and doesn’t have to be authored by someone who doesn’t have Visa access to the US. [We didn’t get much response from those with visa limitations, I’m afraid, so we’re widening our net now. ☺ There will be no copyright concerns, since submitted papers will not be circulated. But we will make your presentation videos available to others, if you like, so your work gets broadly disseminated without any travel effort or costs or carbon!)

Hook ‘em, horns,

Kara & colleagues

PS In case you’re wondering how many of us counteract the impacts of long-distance travel (besides avoiding it), we purchase offsets via Terrapass, which I highly recommend.

The Future of Mobility: Call for Contributions

Please join us at the IEEE Forum ISTS2020, from 30 June to 2 July, 2020, in lovely Delft, The Netherlands!

Please join researchers and practitioners to discuss the future of mobility! This is a discussion that has been happening in different venues, but interaction across stakeholders has been difficult. This new Forum on Integrated and Sustainable Transportation System 2020 (Forum ISTS2020) will focus on a sustainable future for personal and freight mobility, emphasizing Electrification, Sharing, and Connected Automation.

Academia, Industry and Public Agencies & Authorities will come together to discuss the future and prepare for coming collaborations. The Department of Transport & Planning of one of our world’s top transportation universities will hold this forum in the lovely city of Delft, the Netherlands, providing an exceptional venue for wonderful discussion and collaboration (& biking!).

Forum ISTS2020 will host classic detailed scientific presentations based on high-quality submitted papers while also providing the floor for authorities to share their strategies and concerns, and for companies to show how they view the future of mobility through structured presentations, which do not necessarily have to be of a detailed scientific nature.

Submissions for full scientific papers and presentation-only abstracts are open now, at http://forum-ists2020.org/1772-2/, with topics and deadlines here: http://forum-ists2020.org/topics/.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or suggestions!

And please spread the world, across industry, practice, policymaking, and academia. Thank you!
