Here's a nice opportunity for those interested in the economics of transportation systems, courtesy of USDOT, NBER, & our econ   colleagues at Harvard, MIT & Princeton.

Subject: NBER Economics of Transportation in the 21st Century Meeting, October 14

We are writing to invite you to an NBER meeting on the "Economics of Transportation in the 21st Century."  This virtual conference will be held on Friday, October 14, from 10:30am to 4:00pm EDT. The program, which may be found here:

includes presentations on charging infrastructure for electric vehicles (EVs), port competition and supply chains, initiatives to improve transportation services for low-income households, and the impact of policies to limit the environmental impacts of the transportation sector.  This meeting is supported by a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation and is part of an NBER initiative on transportation economics.
