Greetings,

We are seeking an engineer/researcher with strong technical skills, passion, and the ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively. Candidates with experience modeling traveling demand/freight movements or vehicle emissions would be preferred. This position will be a very exciting opportunity to shape future air quality and climate policies for California's mobile source programs. The incumbent will lead innovative research, advance modeling and data collection techniques, develop emission inventory and analytical platforms, and interact with a wide range of stakeholders.
The Mobile Source Technology Assessment and Modeling Section develops emissions inventory methods, models, databases, and tools to support mobile source emissions assessment needs in the areas of air quality planning, transportation planning, photochemical modeling, and project level assessment. We are also responsible for periodically updating CARB's Mobile Source Strategy and developing web-based application platforms such as the integrated mobile source emissions inventory platforms (EMFAC).
Please help us spread the word!
Thanks!
