RFP – Michigan DOT small urban area travel demand model improvements

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is currently seeking proposals from firms to assist MDOT staff in establishing best practices for the development of travel demand forecast models for Michigan’s small urban areas (population between 50,000 and 200,000) and implementing travel demand model improvements.

The RFP can be found on the MDOT Requests for Proposals page under Transportation Planning: https://www.michigan.gov/mdot/0,4616,7-151-9625_32842---,00.html

Proposals are due November 4, 2019 at 12:00 PM EST.

 This project will involve:

  • evaluating MDOT’s current method of developing travel demand forecasting models for Michigan’s small urban areas
  • exploring enhancements and alternatives to identified model components
  • developing a custom model application that incorporates the model framework with any changes made
  • documenting the model process
  • training.

Any questions must be submitted by e-mail to the MDOT Project Manager Kathryn Beck (beckk1@Michigan.gov) following the instructions in the General Information section of form 5100B.  Questions must be received by the Project Manager at least five (5) working days prior to the due date and time specified above.

 Thank you,
