Transportation Issues Supporting and Impacting National Defense

The TRB Standing Committee on Transportation for National Defense (AMR30) and Joint Subcommittee on Transportation in Military Communities is concerned with issues and topics that support and impact military transportation planning, operations, and installations.  This committee addresses transportation issues during military deployments, the military‚Äôs support of transportation needs during national emergencies and traffic needs of military installations and communities. The committee will be giving special attention to how the military collaborates with government agencies and NGO organizations at all levels.

 

We are actively looking for papers for presentation at the 2024 TRB Annual Meetings in Washington DC, USA. We encourage paper submissions in the following areas. 

  • Cyber strategy and military transportation,
  • Autonomous vehicles on Military Installations,
  • Port Operations including air and seaports,
  • State level planning for Military Deployments,
  • Resiliency and hardening of facilities,
  • Military Installations and Communities,
  • Military collaboration with government and NGO agencies at all levels, and 
  • Strategic military transportation readiness and evolution.

 

Please follow the TRB paper submission process to be considered for future TRB publications and lectern/poster session presentations at the Annual Meeting.

 

Please contact Shawn Leight at sleight@cbbtraffic.com for consideration to participate in either a committee sponsored panel discussion or presentation to the Standing Committee on Transportation for National Defense at the Annual Meeting.  Please include "TRB AMR30 AM" in the email subject line.

 

Paper submission is open from June to August 1.
