Transportation Modeler/Analyst Positions Available at CTG

Connetics Transportation Group, Inc. (CTG) is seeking qualified candidates to join our travel demand modeling and analytics practice. CTG is a nationally recognized firm in providing services related to highway and transit planning, travel demand modeling, data science/analytics, transit operations planning and corridor studies. Our clients include transit agencies and operators, departments of transportation, metropolitan planning organizations and local governments.

We currently have two full-time positions available. Both positions require candidates to assist in: (1) development, calibration and application of travel demand models; (2) processing and analyzing big travel data; (3) develop and lead statistical and data analytics efforts in relation to the ongoing projects; (4) alternatives analysis and evaluation for project/corridor studies; and (5) developing new and innovative analytical tools for transportation planning.

 Transportation Planner I/Analyst I (Years of Experience: 0-3 years), Fort Lauderdale, Florida 

This position requires candidates to assist in the: (1) development, calibration and application of travel demand models; (2) processing and analyzing travel surveys and other travel data, including “big data” sources; (3) developing and preparing data for GIS and model application; (4) alternatives analysis and evaluation for project/corridor studies; and (5) developing new and innovative analytical tools for transportation planning.

We are seeking someone who is/has: (1) a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, economics, applied mathematics or equivalent; (2) familiar with one or more of the following software packages: Cube/TP+, TransCAD, EMME/2, VISUM, ArcGIS, MS Excel, Access, SPSS; (3) familiar with one or more computer programming/scripting languages such as FORTRAN, C/C++, VBA, Java, R, Python, SQL; (4) strong problem-solving skills; and (5) strong oral/written communications skills.

Transportation Planner II/Data Scientist II or Transportation Planner III/Data Scientist III (Years of Experience: 3-10 years), Fort Lauderdale, Florida

This position requires candidates to lead and manage projects related to the: (1) development, calibration and application of travel demand models; (2) processing and analyzing travel surveys and other travel data, including “big data” sources; (3) developing and preparing data for GIS and model application; (4) alternatives analysis and evaluation for project/corridor studies; (5) presenting model results to clients and elected officials in  plain layman’s terms; and (6) developing new and innovative analytical tools for transportation planning.

We are seeking someone who is/has: (1) a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, economics, applied mathematics, statistics, computer science,  or equivalent; (2) familiar with one or more of the following software packages: Cube/TP+, TransCAD, EMME/2, VISUM, STOPS, ArcGIS, SPSS; (3) familiar with one or more computer programming/scripting languages such as FORTRAN, C/C++, VBA, Java, R, Python, SQL; (4) excellent problem-solving skills; and (5) excellent oral/written communications skills. Expertise in statistical methods, knowledge in the application of machine learning and predictive modeling is a plus.
