Web-based visualization for state-wide multimodal transportation infrastructure from OpenStreetMap, in GMNS format

Dear TMIP members,

To facilitate a better planning of multimodal transportation
infrastructure in the U.S., our ASU team provides a web-based
interface to visualize multimodal transportation networks, state by
state, for both rail and highway modes.

https://asu-trans-ai-lab.github.io/web/index.html#/

We also provide the corresponding open data sets of rail and highway
networks, converted from OpenStreetMap to General Modeling Network
Specification (GMNS) format, at
https://github.com/asu-trans-ai-lab/Integrated_modeling_GMNS/tree/main/e....
For system-level state-wide planning, detailed information such as
rail company ownership, rail segment capacity, commodity demand is
still needed along this line.

The processing of this large-scale national data set is assisted by
ASU Research Computing facilities, through a server with 2 Terabyte
RAM. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
